The iron gates are the most suitable for houses and residences since they guarantee our security and give a great look to our places; due to the amount of robberies registered during the last 10 years, iron gates became a solution for all those buildings and residences which were exposed to be thieves victims. Iron gates are available in many iron door shops, they will give us peace since we are sure that our house is safe with them; while many homes place the appearance before security by having glass doors or wooden doors these are not ideal to keep thieves or professionals away. Many people think that iron gates are not the indicated type for their buildings since they don’t look as good as a glass door, well they are wrong; iron doors come in different styles and colours, making them attractive for each home. Iron gates are indicated for big houses since their only aim is to keep us safe from burglars, that’s why they are so heavy and so thick. Iron gates modelsArmoured Iron gates : The armoured iron gates are the most expensive ones but also the safest; these types of doors are used mainly in places where we keep valuable objects such us museums, banks, or places where we keep antiques. The armoured gates are more effective than the traditional security iron gates since they are made of steel tubes and special concrete; these models also include several elements that go on the door surface in order to maintain the strength of the steel sheets which are, in time, inside and outside these doors. Over these steel sheets we can decide what kind of wood we want, the most common are oak, pine and walnut. The main characteristics of these doors are, among others, their lock mechanism: the lock we install with this iron gates is considered the most secured of the market since once the lock is activated the door gets stucked on the four sides: up, down, right and left. The lock can also be traditional or with combinations; electronic locks must be connected by a lock program and disconnected by an unlock program by the use of a code. We also have the Mechanic combination locks; this is the traditional iron gate which uses a mechanical combination to be opened. As we can see, these iron gates are very safe but also very expensive, their cost is around US$1.200. |

Reinforced doors : Then we have the most common types of iron gates, the ones that are reinforced, these were the first models of iron security gates and they are widely used in shops, offices and houses, its price, as we said before, is around US$400 and is the cheapest of the two models. These types of iron gates are made of sheets that have the aim of opening and closing the doors, they could be made of wood, or metal depending on the model we desire; they are also covered by another steel sheet on the two faces of the door. Their main characteristics concern the keys and the locks; the second ones are very popular since their designs don’t allow burglars to use any device such us, iron sticks, to open the door due to it can handle 500 kls. The keys can be electronic or traditional; the main advantage here is that these keys are made for each gate in particular, so any other iron gate key can be used in ours. In this specific case we advise to keep a key outside the house since, in case we left ours inside and the door closes, we won’t be able to open it by any means. We’ll have to call the iron gates service to restore the situation and that could demand at least 5 hours, since they will have to break the entire door lock to get it opened. |
