In order to keep our body in shape we try many things at home: we eat less, or at least we try to eat more healthy. Some of us work out, but sometimes for certain people all this is not enough since they lack of self confidence. Here is where gyms appear, these types of “stores” help us to keep the shape we want for our body and also to keep our muscles strong, but to achieve it gyms need workout equipments. Workout equipments are designed only to practice certain types of activities, that’s why they must be used in an accurate way; but if we have to define what is a workout equipment we could give a simple definition, but not a short one: many years ago people only related workout equipments with gym and all kind of physical exercise, but as the time passed by all this changed; machines today are designed to work out our muscles providing body fitness, that’s correct, but they are also a big help in many body therapies.

We don’t have only one type of workout equipments; we have abdominal machines, apparels, back machines, arm machines, belts, boxing equipments, elliptical machines, etc. these attachments help us only to work out muscles, lose some weight, and keep strong. But gym is beyond looking good, is also a matter of health; by means like gym we may solve posture problems, or back aches and also spine disturbances. But to eliminate theses problems we need to use the workout equipment in the properly way. Although many individuals ignore it, the Swiss ball is a perfect element to work out every single inch of our body and muscles, but its function is far from losing weight; the exercises performed with a Swiss ball are part of a health therapy which has the aim of eliminating many body aches and disturbances. As we said before, the Swiss ball is part of a therapy than a gym program, but this exercise ball is also used in other activities such us pilates, yoga, relaxing disciplines. The Swiss ball has become popular within the years, since the results are easy to see; they were many the ones who stated that ball therapies were useless, but their patients showed, in a period of times, great results.

If our intention is just to keep our body in shape there are 3 cheap and practical things we can do; first make time between our work and daily lives and enrol ourselves in a gym program and attend to it at least 3 times a week. This is, perhaps, the best alternative among the three, since we’ll find the necessary and appropriate workout equipment there and we’d be instructed to use it as we should. In fact, we’ll have trainers who prepare a routine of exercises for us and will lead us teaching us the correct use of each machine. The other two alternatives lefts are more related to us; the first recommended thing is to run at least 30 minutes a day, is a very healthy activity and by running we’ll keep each of our muscles working. In case we don’t like running, we advise you to ride your bicycle for at least 1 hour a day, this is also an important activity, specially for our legs.

The last option is to design our own gym at home, this could be a very practical alternative but not a very cheap one; first we need to know what kind of exercises we are able to perform, in case we’re new inside the gym world, it would be good to consult to a trainer what types of exercises we are supposed to do. They will certainly advise you to start with a slow routine (not much weight and not many series) in order to get the body used to the exercises. Then they will tell you that, after a period of time, your routine must be changed if we want to see instant results; otherwise muscles get used to specific exercises and won’t work out anymore. Later they would recommend us certain work out equipment since we will need some of them; is useless to keep expensive machines if we are not going to perform many activities with them; the most common workout equipment consists of: Abdominal machines, ankle weights, aerobics video exercises, arm machines, band for stretching, belts, bars, benches, back machines, balance boards, dumbbells, gloves, exercise bikes, gravity tables, elliptical equipment, leg machines, rowing machines, steppers, lifting straps, treadmills, weight benches, weights, vests, etc.

This workout equipment will give us the chance to perform the same activities we could perform in a gym; but of course these machines are not cheap at all, that’s why we only have to buy the ones we need. First we should settle our exercise routine and then apply for the workout equipment.
